"Gail de Cordova works with paint and tissue. An Isabelle Allende of visual art, her images invoke ghosts, nostalgia
and mysticism together with the very real power of the lands she has known, primarily Cornwall, Spain and France.
Her work spans time - from a child to an adult's remembrance. Caught, released or transformed by memory, emotion,
colour and form. A language of her own that speaks to us."
Suzanne Jasileck, Suisho Gallery, 1999

Thursday's artist tip
Regardless if your working method is spontaneous or methodical always try to have materials ready at hand. Nothing more disruptive to the creative mind than the break in concentration and inspiration caused by having to buy or prepare your materials on the spot.

Our principle commitment is to maintain the
integrity and coherence of the
body of work we exhibit. Our decision not to list an artist's site it is usually due to any one of the points listed below.
1. Only art which we feel will contribute to the variety of art on display will be listed 2. We limit the inclusion of the following - animal pet portraitists and portraitists. 3. Sites with popups, excessive advertising and a strong bias towards sales will not be included 4. Sites which include content other than art content will not be included 5. Although we require a reciprocal link from all listed websites, we waver this for those sites which do not have a reciprocal link exchange program. 7. You must submit a website that is owned by you and therefore must have authority to provide three images 8. Sites which contain 'adult' or obscene content will not be listed 9. artist.
Why do we take three images?
To ensure a varied and interesting experience for the visitor, wotartist rotates on page refresh three samples of each artists work in their individual tooltips. The images remain the property of the respective artists, please read our Terms and Conditions.
There we lay out our legal obligations respect to the use of artists' images and impose on ourselves a time limit within which we are allowed take an image from the artists' website on receipt of each submission and acceptance for inclusion.
After this time, if the reciprocal link has not been forthcoming or for whatever other reason, artists are required to re-submit their website. This is necessary in order to protect
the interests of each artist.

About Wotartist
WOTARTIST is an on-line art gallery run by professional and practising artists. Designed with ease of use foremost
as a consideration, Wotartist's raison d'être is to bring the best artists currently exhibiting on the internet from
search engine obscurity and hopefully to enjoy greater exposure. Wotartist's
interface was born of the desire to democratise the exposure of artist's sites.
Determined to make it easier for the art loving public to find artist's
websites we knew we didn't want them buried on multiple sub-pages of our site. It was
through finding a solution to the age old
problem of image download times that we were at last able to list all our artists websites on only a few pages.
Because
we also track the number of unique visitors that click through to each artist's site we are able to organise them on each
page relative to the number of visits their art sites receive from wotartist, with those with the least visits at any given
moment being exhibited at the top of the page. As a consequence all the artists listed on wotartist enjoy equal exposure.
We hope you enjoy browsing this site and discover a whole world of great talent. Please contact individual artists directly if you are interested in their work and send selective artists e-cards.
New artists are actively sought out and added to this site daily, so please visit frequently to discover new and exciting art work.
