Method to Madness

Buck Buchheister

Each day upon entering my studio, I am greeted with the same question, “What will it be today?”  My intuition kicks in and I reach for a canvas or some heavy multi-media paper. Acrylics, ink, pastels, charcoal are all close by shadowed by stacks of collage material.

I may use brayers, squeegees, sponges, pallet knives, pens, pieces of torn cardboard, or maybe even a brush or two to create my abstract works. A completed piece may take minutes or days to arrive at.  When I start I have no idea what the outcome will be.
